It all started when Travis Dickey opened the first-ever Dickey's Barbeque Pit in 1941 in Dallas, Texas. With the chance to serve fantastic meals, he took the opportunity and made a family-operated restaurant that was craved by many. While the number of meals served was limited, it never stopped Travis from continuing to share his talent with others.
