A great event celebrating all that Duluth has to offer is back for its second year. It's Taste of Duluth, which is set to be held July 14 at Bayfront Festival Park. Organizers say the inaugural running last year encompassed the city well, and they want to build on that.
"When we started last year, we wanted to highlight our Culture and a little bit of who we are as a community, where we've been in the past, a little bit about our industry..." Tracy Lundeen of Lundeen Productions says. "The 'taste' implies a taste of who we are."
The company co-produces this event with Twin Ports Nightlife. Tracy explains that taste also obviously emphasizes food in Duluth. He was in studio with Austan Lundeen on Monday morning. They both jokingly agreed that it's always a plus to have as much food as possible. This year, attendees will see the likes of Dickey's Barbecue Pit, Farley's Family Restaurant, Lucky's 13 Pub, The Other Place Bar & Grill, and Saigon Cafe. There will also be a slew of caterers showing off all they have to offer as well.
The event featuring all things Duluth is back for its second year at Bayfront Festival Park. It runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 14.
In addition, people of all kinds are welcomed to attend. Tracy Lundeen says the free admission makes the idea of going more attractive to residents and tourists alike.
