Dickey's Opens First New Jersey Location

The nation’s largest barbecue chain, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is opening its first location in New Jersey on Thursday, March 19 at 11 a.m. The fast-casual barbecue chain offers meats pit smoked onsite, home-style sides, and free ice cream with every meal. In celebration of the new location in East Brunswick, the store will host a three-day grand opening event.
“It’s exciting to see our footprint expand to New Jersey,” says Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants Inc. “Barbecue is gaining popularity across the country and throughout the East Coast.”
On Thursday, the first 50 guests receive gift cards worth up to $50. Friday, station 92.3 AMP will be onsite from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and guests can score a deal with $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches during the event. One lucky winner will receive a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year. On Saturday, guests can score Dickey’s Barbecue merchandise with all-day giveaways.
“We’re thrilled to bring Dickey’s Barbecue Pit to New Jersey and introduce authentic hickory smoked Texas barbecue to the community,” says first-time owner, Joseline Garcia.
“Before signing on, we visited many different Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations and were impressed by the food each time,” says first-time owner, Patrick Fiddler.
Local owners, Patrick Fiddler and Joseline Garcia are both respiratory therapists. The new store in East Brunswick is located at 77 Tices Lane.
