York Daily Record: Dickey's Barbecue coming to W. Manchester, Hanover

West Manchester Town Center and Gateway Hanover Shopping Center in Penn Township will be the locations of the first Dickey's Barbecue Pit restaurants in York County, said the agent who is handling the leasing for the restaurants.

The restaurant at Gateway Hanover Shopping Center, which is anchored by a Target store, is targeted to open by late April or early May, said Karen Neiderer, a sales executive with Bennett Williams Commercial, which represents Dover-based franchisees Dennis Dacheux Sr. and Dennis Dacheux Jr.

The West Manchester Town Center location is targeted to open by early October, Neiderer said. It will be in a building currently under construction at the center that will also house a MOD Pizza restaurant, she said.

Dallas-based Dickey's, which serves a variety of meats and sides, said last fall it signed a development agreement with Dennis Dacheux Sr. and Dennis Dacheux Jr. to open four locations in York County and Gettysburg. 

Neiderer said she is looking for a location for a Dickey's restaurant in Gettysburg and one on the east side of York County -- possibly in Springettsbury Township or York Township.
