DALLAS (July 15, 2020) – This week while the coronavirus pandemic reaches new heights, local business owner and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit franchisee Jeff Bass is providing free barbecue to all 250 Garland firefighters and administrative staff as a show of thanks for their ongoing efforts.
To feed every employee on all three shifts, Jeff Bass and the Dickey Foundation will deliver Dickey’s boxed lunches to all 11 fire stations in Garland on Wednesday, July 15, Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17.
“Giving back to our community heroes is my passion,” said Jeff Bass, Dickey’s Owner Operator and Board Member for the Garland Fire Club. “I am honored to serve those who serve for all of us and believe barbecue can bring joy to everyone.”
Across the nation, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is commemorating those who protect and serve communities with the launch of its new First Responder Big Yellow Cups.
The limited-edition collectible cups will be available from July 15 through Sept. 30 and a portion of the proceeds from every cup sold will be donated to The Dickey Foundation, which provides safety equipment such as helmets, shields, respiratory masks and overall support for local first responders.
