Texas-Style Barbecue Arrives at Travis Air Force Base with New Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

(Fairfield, CA) The city of Fairfield and those serving at Travis Air Force Base will soon get a taste of Texas-style brisket when Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opens on Thursday, October 2 at 11 a.m. The new fast-causal barbecue restaurant is throwing a three day grand opening celebration. The first 50 dine in guests receive gift cards worth up to $50.
“Our new restaurant is near Travis Air Force Base and we wanted to introduce them to Texas style barbecue,” said multi-unit owner, John Sanchez. “We have many Fairfield residents who have been going over to our Vacaville location and we’re excited they will now have a Dickey's in Fairfield.”
On Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests can grab $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches and one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card. Three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year and radio station 95.3 KUIC will also be on-site. On Saturday guests get a chance to stock up on Dickey’s Barbecue Pit gear when the location offers all day merchandise giveaways.
Sanchez and his business partner, Richard Breedwell own a location in Vacaville and plan on opening three more locations in the area over the next three years.
