### World’s largest barbecue concept honors first responders with fundraising event on Oct. 13 

DALLAS (Sept. 27, 2022) – [The Dickey Foundation](https://www.thedickeyfoundation.org/) – the charitable arm of [Dickey’s Barbecue Pit](https://www.dickeys.com/) – is celebrating and supporting first responders with its inaugural Denim and Diamonds fundraiser event this fall. Join Dickey’s as they continue to support local first responder who serve to protect our communities. 

 Set for October 13th at 6:30 p.m. at The Rustic in Dallas, located at 3656 Howell Street. The Foundation will host a fun-filled, fundraising event featuring food and drinks, live entertainment by legendary, local band Straight Tequila Night, and a celebration of the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day.

 Ticket sales for the Denim and Diamonds dinner will benefit The Dickey Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting first responders in Dallas-Fort Worth, as well as all over the country. With several sponsorship opportunities starting at $1,000, Dickey’s encourages the entire ‘cue-mmunity to pitch in and turn out to honor those who protect and serve us all.

 Dickey’s Retail Expansion Reaches the Aloha State

DALLAS (Aug. 22, 2022) – What happens when Legit. Texas. Barbecue.™ goes to Brazil and competes in the largest barbecue event in the world? It absolutely smokes the competition!

 Yep, earning second place from pure ‘cue cuisine proves one thing… [Dickey’s Barbecue Pit](https://www.dickeys.com/) is taking over the world, one perfectly prepared Texas-style barbecue plate at a time. 
 
 Dickey’s Brazil Owners and key staff members banded together and competed against 28 other teams from around the world, all in the name of barbecue, at the Meatstock BBQ Wars from July 8 to 10. More than 30,000 people flocked to Lucky Wings Arena in Sorocaba, São Paulo to enjoy music and barbecue cookoffs at the three-day festival. 

 The contest featured five different barbecue protein staples including brisket, pork ribs, pork butt, chicken and lamb with each scored based on a taste test from various judges. Bruno Gallucci, Arthur Fumis, Luiz Henrique and Thiago Pattas joined captain, Luana Santos in eventually landing second place, just three points behind the winners. The moment was especially gratifying for Santos, who is also Dickey Brazil’s first-ever Pitmaster.

 "It was an amazing experience to bring our pitmasters outside the store to represent Dickey's Barbecue Pit in the contest,” said Dickey’s Brazil Co-Owner Bruno Gallucii “We learned a lot about team spirit and how important it is to motivate our crew. We laughed a lot, had fun and the most important thing – we showed all Brazilians what Legit. Texas. Barbecue is all about!"

 Dickey’s Global Retail Sales Booming

### Grant will help provide new safety gear and equipment to first responders in Eagan, Minnesota 
 
 (Jul. 11, 2022) – On Wednesday, July 13 at 11:30am, at the Eagan Fire Station #1 (4200 Blackhawk Road, Eagan, MN 55122), The [Dickey Foundation](https://www.thedickeyfoundation.org/) will present 12 new carbon monoxide detectors as well as RAD 57 and 4-gas monitors to the Eagan Fire Department. The world’s largest barbecue franchise continues to give back to communities all over the nation, as their way of saying thank you for all of the support!

 The Dickey Foundation, non-profit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical personal protective equipment (PPE), safety gear, and equipment they need to help make their job easier and, more importantly, safer. It is crucial that the men and women in service are protected as they are keeping our communities safe for our loved ones.
