Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Welcomes New Research and Development Chef

(Garland, TX) Sisters, Clemencia Ayala and Marianna Romero plan to bring a new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit location to Garland, Texas, this Fall 2018.&nbsp;
“The dedication Clemencia and Marianna have to the brand is something that truly inspires all of us at Dickey’s,” says Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We are proud to have franchisees like these sisters that bring so much passion to the brand and we look forward to the opening of their first location.”&nbsp;
Clemencia has vast experience in the restaurant industry working as a manager for multiple brands and currently owns a stocking agency with her sister, Marianna. Her first job was working for long-time Dickey’s franchisee, Dale Smith. She has learned a lot from him about the restaurant industry and not only views him as a great boss, but as a mentor, especially in opening her first Dickey’s location.&nbsp;
&nbsp;“We want to grow our family business,” says Clemencia. “We like to help people and help provide jobs. We knew Dickey’s would be the best opportunity to continue growing and help the workforce.”
Both women credit their mother for making them determined to thrive in the restaurant industry. The duo are already looking forward to opening more Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations in the future.&nbsp;

Local Entrepreneur Brings Multiple Dickey's Barbecue Pit Locations to Los Angeles

Dickey's Fires Up the Pit with New Senior Vice President of Operations

(Aventura, FL) Peter Juris is bringing a new <a href="https://www.dickeys.com" title="Dickey’s Barbecue Pit">Dickey’s Barbecue Pit</a> location to Aventura, Florida. Peter has been working in the restaurant and hospitality industry for many years and is excited to open his first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Fall 2018. &nbsp;
“The dedication and excitement Peter has shown is something that truly inspires all of us at Dickey’s,” says Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We are proud to have such a seasoned restauranteur bring so much passion to the brand and we look forward to the opening of his Aventura location.” &nbsp;
Before moving to the United States, Peter owned the largest meat processing plant in Ecuador. He distributed his product to the entire country and managed over 300 people. To further his knowledge about the restaurant business, he earned his master’s degree in meat processing in Germany. Now, with his wealth of experience, he looks forward to Dickey’s being his first restaurant. &nbsp;
“I have been involved with meat and meat processing all my life,” says Peter. “I love barbecue and wanted to bring it to Florida. It is not as well known here, and I want to show people that Dickey’s is the best option.”&nbsp;

Local Entrepreneur Brings Dickey's Texas-Style Barbecue in Florida 

(Dallas, TX) The Dickey Foundation, formerly known as Barbecue, Boots and Badges, has expanded its mission in supporting first responders in communities across the nation.&nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;
This foundation sets out to provide financial opportunities, safety equipment and overall support for local first responders. Although its reach is national, the efforts are extremely local and supports several programs, including Invest in a Vest, Barbecue, Boots &amp; Badges and an unnamed program which will provide breathing equipment to firefighters. &nbsp;
&nbsp;&nbsp;
This year, the Foundation provided ballistic vests to the Dallas Police Department and the Princeton Fire Department as well as feeding millions of folks that were affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston. In addition, The Dickey Foundation hosted its inaugural benefit concert in May of 2018 which resulted in raising $100,000 for local first responders. &nbsp;

From now until Labor Day, September 3, guests can post photos of their Big Yellow Cup on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/dickeysbarbecuepit/" title="Facebook">Facebook</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/dickeysbarbecuepit/" title="Instagram">Instagram</a> or <a href="https://twitter.com/Dickeys" title="Twitter">Twitter</a> to enter to win one of eight weekly prizes as well as the Grand Prize, which will be announced on September 5. &nbsp;

To enter, guests must post a photo of their Summer adventures with their Big Yellow Cup using the hashtags #ShowUsYourCup #Contest. They must also follow Dickey’s Barbecue Pit on the same social media channel.&nbsp;

Each Wednesday, Dickey’s will announce weekly winners and the Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from those eight. The GrandPrize will be two VIP tickets to the LANCO, Dierks Bentley and Brothers Osborne concert in Dallas, TX in September. The Grand Prize Winner will also receive hotel accommodations and airfare to Dallas. &nbsp;

Dickey's Barbecue Pit is Seeing Double this July

(Los Angeles, CA) On Wednesday, June 27 The Dickey Foundation will honor Chief of Police Charlie Beck, who served his community as the leader of the Los Angeles Police Department for more than 40 years.&nbsp;
The Dickey Foundation, in conjunction with <a href="https://www.dickeys.com/">Dickey’s Barbecue Pit</a>, will be donating slow-smoked barbecue for the open-house event celebrating Chief Beck. This event will be held at the Los Angeles Police Department Academy to encourage the community and its 1,000 expected attendees to join in celebration of their long-standing civic leader.&nbsp;
The Woodland Hills Dickey’s Pit Boss, Barry Thomas, said that catering this retirement event for Chief Beck was, “a natural fit, as The Dickey Foundation has always been a proud supporter of the officers who serve their community.”&nbsp;

The Dickey's Mobile App is Now Available for Android

(Parker, CO) Local Dickey’s franchisees Stephen and Heidi Bernier plan to bring their first <a href="https://www.dickeys.com/">Dickey’s Barbecue Pit</a> location to Parker, CO in Fall 2018.&nbsp;
