### Grant will help provide new safety gear and equipment to first responders in Eagan, Minnesota 
 
 (Jul. 11, 2022) – On Wednesday, July 13 at 11:30am, at the Eagan Fire Station #1 (4200 Blackhawk Road, Eagan, MN 55122), The [Dickey Foundation](https://www.thedickeyfoundation.org/) will present 12 new carbon monoxide detectors as well as RAD 57 and 4-gas monitors to the Eagan Fire Department. The world’s largest barbecue franchise continues to give back to communities all over the nation, as their way of saying thank you for all of the support!

 The Dickey Foundation, non-profit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical personal protective equipment (PPE), safety gear, and equipment they need to help make their job easier and, more importantly, safer. It is crucial that the men and women in service are protected as they are keeping our communities safe for our loved ones.

 “The Dickey Foundation is all about giving back to first responders who put their lives on the line every day while serving our local communities where we live and work,” said [Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc.](https://www.laurareadickey.com/) “We’re thrilled to present the Eagan Fire Department with this much needed grant to ensure they are equipped properly to safely and effectively help their community.”

 Having these carbon monoxide (CO) detectors on all emergency medical services bags will assist responders (police, fire and paramedics) to know if CO is present and a potential hazard. In addition, the RAD-57 monitor can measure CO exposure specifically in individual responders and patients.

 The donation is valued at more than $7,500 and The Dickey Foundation is proud that they can support local first responders by providing them with critically important safety gear and equipment. Dickey’s is more than just a barbecue restaurant, they are a family showing love to other families round the world not only with great Texas barbecue, but with their continued support.

DALLAS (May 24, 2022) – Fast Casual recently announced the winners of its annual Top Movers and Shakers Award, recognizing 75 brands and 25 leaders who are propelling the fast casual restaurant industry forward. Dickey’s ended 2021 on a high note, reporting a 16.5% increase in same store sales for 22 months of consecutive growth. The 80-year-old Texas-based restaurant chain introduced a digitally focused user experience for mobile ordering, after learning that 90% of guests were visiting its website via mobile devices. Dickey’s executives also revamped internal reporting and resource channels and integrated all third-party delivery partners into Chowly to streamline the online ordering process. That integration resulted in a growth of off premise sales of over 400%. 
 
Dickey’s also continued to upgrade the online training platform at Barbecue University, which features virtual classroom experiences. It also spent the last year upgrading its Big Yellow Cup loyalty program and developing its own USDA craft sausage facility in order to solve supply chain issues triggered by the pandemic. COVID-19 also led to the creation of several virtual brands – Wing Boss, Trailer Birds, Big Deal Burger, and Barbecue at Home were all a result of the pandemic. ### Grant will help with a new addition to the officer squad, a K9 to succor the crew
DALLAS (Apr. 27, 2022) – On Friday, April 29 at noon, at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Kerrville (881 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, TX 78028), The [Dickey Foundation](https://www.thedickeyfoundation.org/) will present a grant to help fund the Kerrville Police Department with an essential canine officer. It is important to have a canine addition to the officer squad team, to ensure the protection and assistance of our first responders. 

 The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical protective equipment, safety gear, and overall support. We want to ensure that these first responders have everything that they need to help make their job easier and more importantly, safer.

##### World’s largest barbecue concept’s compilation of recipes, cocktails, and tall tales has been named a finalist in the 34th annual IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award program

DALLAS (Apr. 12, 2022) – Published by Southwestern Publishing House, Inc., Dickey’s Barbecue Pit’s “Behind the BBQ: Recipes, Cocktails & Tall Tales” by Roland Dickey Sr., Roland Dickey Jr., Laura Rea Dickey with Jerry Murray and Chef Phil Butler has been recognized as a finalist in the 34th annual IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award program in the cookbook category.
