Two murals will be
painted on exterior walls of Dickey’s first location to celebrate 75th
anniversary&nbsp;<hr id="[object Object]">

Barbecue Pit</a> has been passionate about the art of great barbecue since 1941,
and is now looking for passionate artists to portray their great art as a mural
at Dickey’s original location. To celebrate the barbecue brand’s 75th
anniversary, Dickey’s is calling for artists to submit artwork for
consideration to become a permanent feature on the store’s external walls as
large-scale murals. Two murals will be chosen. Selected artists will win $500
and free barbecue for a year. Located at Knox-Henderson and North Central
Expressway, Dickey’s first location is one of the oldest, continuously-running

The Albuquerque
location will be Deepak Shah’s second Dickey’s store in New Mexico, making him

The new Dickey’s locations will be bringing slow-smoked, Texas-style barbecue beginning in early 2017
(Colorado Springs, CO) Dickey’s Barbecue Pit continues to expand through the state of Colorado by adding two new locations in Colorado Springs owned and operated by veteran franchisee Bob Rusnak. The first of the two locations is slated to open in early 2017.

As a retired Air Force officer, Rusnak decided it was time to forge a new path by opening his own business. He opened his first three stores with his wife, Barbara Rusnak, who is also an Air Force veteran. “Our three existing stores have been so successful in Colorado Springs,” says Bob Rusnak. “We are very excited to bring two new locations to our community and give the residents more access to delicious, slow-smoked barbecue.”
